Abstract

SPADONI, Lila Maria  and  TORRES, Ana Raquel Rosas. The common sense ideas about the relations between justice and injustice. Aletheia [online]. 2010, n.31, pp. 82-96. ISSN 1413-0394.

This article aimed at investigating Brazilian and French young people’s common sense ideas on the relations between justice and injustice. For this, the concept of thematas was used. Thematas are defined as the organizing factors of thematic sets of different social representations. The methodological design was planned from the social representation estructuralistic approach. Therefore simple evocation technique together with the base cognitive schemata analysis was used. The participants were French (N = 121) and Brazilian (N = 129) university students. The results were similar in both samples, demonstrating a functional and oppositional relationship between justice and injustice ideas. This relationship is well structured and resistant to the socio-economic and cultural differences between Brazil and France.

Keywords : Justice; Social representations; Thematas.
