Abstract

BAPTISTA, Makilim Nunes et al. Work support and organizational identification: a validity study. Aletheia [online]. 2010, n.32, pp. 53-69. ISSN 1413-0394.

This work aimed at searching for validity evidences based on the relation with external variables to Escala de Suporte Laboral (ESUL). 175 workers, undergraduates, both genders, were participants. For data collection, besides ESUL, the Escala de Identificação Organizacional was used. As results, positive and significant correlations were found between all ESUL factors and the factor named as Indentification by imitation, at the general sample. As to the dimension named Identification by affinity, there was a positive and significant correlation only with ESUL total score. At last, when correlating total scores from both scales, all correlations were positive and significant. Thus, these results point out at validity evidences based on the relation with external variables to ESUL. It must be highlighted that this study used a preliminary version of ESUL. So, other researches must be conducted aiming at obtaining other validity evidences.

Keywords : Work support; Organizational identification; Validity.
