Abstract

Based on a conceptual character, the cartographer, the author describes and analyses the meetings promoted by an institutional intervention with the group of workers of an Emergency service of a big hospital in Porto Alegre. Using the concept of current attention, the intervention tried to map the forces which design the atmosphere of Emergency environments. This constituted what the group called project “caring for those who care”. The theoretical principles of National Politcs of Humanization, focused on the axis of valuing the workers and their work, supported the project. The institutional analysis was the methodological bases of the study and the circles of discussion were the main tool used. At the end, the implication analisys of the group, co-responsibilezed the group with the attention quality and motivated a collective compromise with the invention of new working methods.
