Abstract

The present article presents a study about a public service for children, adolescents and families who are victims of violence, abuse and sexual exploitation. The aim was to understand the professional´s perceptions in order to draft an analysis of the social and relational team practices with the service´s users. The research followed the qualitative method based on the Ecological Engagement in the context and semi-structured interviews with three professionals: coordinator. psychologist and social worker. The analysis showed the professional's satisfaction with the treatment and their beliefs in the efficacy of the results based on the diversity of methodologies and flexibility of approaches developed: groups or individual treatment. The professionals showed optimism considering the low return number of cases after ending the treatment as the majority of families is linked with trust to the Service.
