This article presents a literature review concerning two issues that many women experienced in their lives of motherhood and career. Shows what implications the entry and consolidation of women into labor market have brought to motherhood. Delves into the topic of discussion with researches that approach motherhood and career, in order to present feelings, difficulties and strategies of women who choose to work and be a mother. Different studies show that balance between motherhood and career is experienced as a conflict for modern woman for new demands that are presented by the need/choice of many in transit public and private spaces.
