This study aims to identify factors related to early dropout of treatment of adolescents in compliance with socio-educational measure in an open way, referred to treatment for drug use. This is a quantitative, cross-sectional and correlational study, whose participants are 135 adolescents. The instruments were: sociodemographic data protocol, semi-structured interview for diagnosis and comorbidities, according to DSM IV-TR, the Beck Depression Inventory (BDI) and Beck Anxiety Inventory (BAI). Factors related to the abandonment of treatment were: not to be studying, expulsion or suspension from school, early age for alcohol use, cocaine use and be tobacco abuser. Abusers of cocaine and crack had higher symptoms scores on the BDI and BAI scores did not show statistical significance with substance abuse. It concludes that such factors should be considered in the improvement of the treatments available. Strategies of prevention of the drug use in schools are essential.
