FERRONATTO, Felipe Gonçalves  e  OLIVEIRA, Margareth da Silva. Expectations and personal beliefs about alcohol between admitted population and not admitted. Aletheia [online]. 2019, vol.52, n.2, pp. 97-106. ISSN 1413-0394.

Alcohol is the most commonly used drug in the world, causing illness, violence and death. The purpose of this article was to compare the beliefs and expectations of alcohol use in hospitalized users (UI) and non-hospitalized users (UNI), in order to understand expectations and beliefs about their consumption. 130 cases were evaluated through a Personal Data Sheet, the IECPA and the AUDIT. The results pointed to a higher prevalence of beliefs and expectations in the IU group, denoting being a more fragile group in relation to alcohol consumption. The present study points to the importance of prevention and treatment planning considering the different beliefs of the subjects.
