This piece of work intends to offer a contribution to the systematization of some notions related to the systemic and psychoanalytical approaches about the psychic transmission between generations. Many times these notions have been indiscriminately used, thus, becoming difficult, in such a way, their comprehension, and, as a result, making possible an inadequate appropriation at the family clinic. Confronting those notions, in order to reveal their possible approximations, similarities and distinctions, is the objective of this small synthesis we offer to the reader.
