Abstract

DUNKER, Christian Ingo Lenz. Decline of erotism in brazilian cinema. Interações [online]. 2003, vol.8, n.16, pp. 109-124. ISSN 1413-2907.

We will take authors of the psychoanalysis, interested in the analysis of the ideology, such as Souza (1994) and Kehl (2002), to illustrate and to interpret the thematic decline of the erotism in the Brazilian cinema of the end of the XX century. There is a species of tragic turn in the New Brazilian Cinema, that can be understood, under the hypothesis of this article, through the freudiana notion of decline (Erniedrigung). We examine the flotation of the representation of the feminility and the dominance of images witch presents the acceleration of jouisance in the Brazilian society. The hypothesis of the decline of the imago of the father is argued criticaly. The paper concludes endorsing the idea that seems to be in formation a new politics of erotism where the full erotic accomplishment, or love, does not organize the ideal regent of the social relationship.

Keywords : Psychoanalysis; Erotism; Cinema; Family; Sexuality.
