MOTTA, Luciana  and  RIVERA, Tania. Embodiment of subjectivity / Subjectivity of the body: notes on alterity and body. Interações [online]. 2004, vol.9, n.17, pp.55-70. ISSN 1413-2907.

This paper seeks to weave some thoughts on the body in psychoanalysis, entwining theory, a clinical case and a Hans Bellmer’s drawing. The impact of the Other is discussed in the constitution of the body, articulated to the subjectivity. Contrasting to the inscription of marks in the body, which are constitutive of erogenous zones by seduction, we propose the notion of an inscription of the absence of alterity, creating "dead zones in the body".

Keywords : Psychoanalysis; Art; Body; Subjectivity; Alterity.
