The purpose of the article is to analyze the different circumpscritions of the figure of fantasy throughout the Freudian texts, highliting the following paradox: the fantasy either takes the form of an articulated structure in the discoursive field of the subject or takes the form of what escapes that link. The basis for this discussion is the model of the psychic apparel developed by Freud in “Letter 52”.
