Abstract

COSTA, Victor Cesar Amorim  and  CUNHA, Eleonora Schettini Martins. The Family in Special Social Protection (CREAS/SUAS) and the issues of gender, sexual diversity and class: a narrative review. Estud. psicol. (Natal) [online]. 2019, vol.24, n.4, pp. 382-392. ISSN 1413-294X.  http://dx.doi.org/10.22491/1678-4669.20190038.

Part of the existing challenges to the implementation of the guarantees of SUAS is the accurate understanding of the central concepts of special social protection and its criticisms. The objective of this study is to present a critical review of the concept of family in official documents and in literature specialized in gender, sexual diversity and class, seeking to highlight correspondences, disagreements and their implications. The method used was the narrative review. The results pointed out the progressive but limited nature of family conceptualization in official documents, since there is a rare and precarious link between theory and practice regarding the concept of "family social matrix" and specialized monitoring, which is relegated to the discretion of those who operate politics, on the equipment and on the local network.

Keywords : social assistance; family; gender; sexual diversity; class.
