Abstract

SAFRA, Gilberto. Theological influences on psychonalytical theories. Temas psicol. [online]. 1999, vol.7, n.2, pp. 131-141. ISSN 1413-389X.

This paper discusses the theological influences in psychoanalytical theories of different authors: Freud, Bion, Klein, Winnicott and Ferenczi. With this aim, it has briefly presented the religious conceptions that marked the trajectory of each one of them. Concepts of "immanence" and "transcendence" have been used to highlight the religious influence present in those thinkers' theoretical formulations. The main idea of this work is: as it is fundamental to understand the epistemological and methodological vertexes of a theory, it is also quite important to show clarity in the underlying theological conceptions of any theory, for a critical posture in relation to it.

Keywords : theology; psychoanalysis; immanence; transcendence; religion.
