Abstract

TOURINHO, Emmanuel Zagury. Conceptual studies in behavior analysis. Temas psicol. [online]. 1999, vol.7, n.3, pp. 213-222. ISSN 1413-389X.

This paper presents behavioral analysis as a field in which the knowledge involves conceptual, empirical and applied contents. The interdependence and complementarity among studies dealing with different kinds of content are interpreted as appropriate for the construction of science and for the design of psychology as a science and a profession. Three studies related to the issue of private events have been cited in order to illustrate the possible ways in which conceptual, empirical and applied themes may be approached.

Keywords : behavioral analysis; conceptual research; private events.
