Some aspects of the Social Representations Theory are discussed in two related moments. First, the specificity and the amplitude of the concept of Social Representation is presented. Its specific role is indicated in overcoming many dichotomies that cause trouble to social sciences, such as: individual-social, internal-external, material-representational, consensual-reified, process-structure, theoretical-practical knowledge, pure subject-pure object. Second, a methodological framework is presented that can lead researchers in the search for different dimensions that a social representation may carry along
