This paper aims at considering the contributions of the Social Representation Theory, with the emphasis on its particular aspects highlighting the relationship between practices and social représentations and examining the methodological challenges involved in the apprehension of such practices. With this objective, we discuss the importance of the concept of social practice in the realm of the theory and the methodological possibilities and difficulties implied in its investigation. We also propose that the social practice should be seen as a singular object of the study, due to its self-legitimacy
