The Information Technology has allowed a great development in all of the scientific areas. In relation to the psychology, the contributions are seen varying from the software to virtual interventions. This article tries to systematize observations on different modalities of the on-line psychological practices since 1993. In the clinical area, the psychologist can participate on the discussions of the groups for self-help, on the organization of thematic home-pages, on-line consultations, and conduct virtual psychotherapy. The procedures vary, according to the theoretical choice that guides each professional's practice. Some objections against on-line therapy, discussing indications and contraindications of such procedure, are also analyzed
