This text describes, in details, an intervention procedure for parents that is shown as effective in the promotion of positive parental practices, in what he/she refers to parental social education skills, social skills in preschool children and, on the other hand, in the reduction of negative practices and behavioral problems in preschool children, being a progress in relation to the literature of the area. This work is the result of eight years of work and evaluation of interventions close to this population, in a Center of Applied Psychology of a University of the state of São Paulo, being, then, the fourth intervention model, shorter and more effective in comparison to the previous ones. It discusses results about the increasing of client's and children's repertoires and implications for public politics.
