The aim of this study is to discuss the importance of care in the perspective of education against violence, especially in early childhood, as well as all life long. Some of the main points are: the conceptions of care in educational practice, which are variable and contradictory; the need of opening to the experience with the other; consideration that the care in relation to children questions the priority of it in junction with professors and other professionals of childhood education; the relation between the axis to educate/to care with the conception of inclusive education.
