The paper presents a contribution for studies about social representations that intend to consider analysis of historical contexts to understand the processes of generation, stability and transformation of these contents. The methodological propose; reported in each stage, takes into account a search around historicity about social representations of Brazil in association with diversity. That is articulated with aspects from effectual History, developed by philosopher Hans-Georg Gadamer, as conceptual History, systematized by historian Reinhart Koselleck, taking social representations theory in manner to cover, without anachronisms, as social representations moves the knowledge from different historical contexts
