Abstract

Cognitive impairment brings consequences to the eldery that can range from difficulties in instrumental activities of their daily routine to difficulties in social interaction. The memory training aims to improve cognitive functioning. The purpose of this article is to review studies on cognitive training. The studies point to an improvement in performance after training. However, despite a significant number of researches in the area of cognitive training, such studies are in early stages in Brazil.
