Abstract

COMIN, Fabio Scorsolini. Evaluation of teaching-learning processes in distance education courses. Temas psicol. [online]. 2013, vol.21, n.2, pp. 335-346. ISSN 1413-389X.  http://dx.doi.org/10.9788/TP2013.2-03.

The aim of this paper is to discuss the evaluation of teaching-learning processes in the distance education context. For this purpose, two cases were analyzed: a postgraduate course (case 1) and a graduate course (case 2). In the first case, the evaluation was based on the summative assessment tests, automatically applied in isolated moments of the course, and feedbacks. In the second case, the dominant kind of assessment was based on problem solving. Such courses have structures like quality committee (case 1) and collective projects (case 2), which constitute spaces where students could the opportunity to discuss evaluations and suggest improvements in the educational process. We conclude that these educational activities should not consider only the final product as evaluative activity, but fundamentally all the process that was guiding the activity, its different steps, challenges, insights and constructions in different collaborative virtual learning environments.
