Abstract

The aim of this study, through a literature survey in the databases: BVS-PSI, BDTD and SIBIUSP, was identify coping strategies in facing schooling problems, which were published in scientific productions (2002 to 2012), and explore their possible contributions to the learning process and human development. The productions were assembled in three categories: pedagogical strategies, political and administrative strategies and extra-school strategies. Among these, the pedagogical strategies, guided by teacherstudent relationship mediational indicated greater effectiveness. The political and administrative strategies indicated destabilization of work in schools and extra-schools indicated the practice of transferring to another area and so individualized problems that are not solved at the school.The results indicates the chronicity of the situations where students were already having difficulty in school, making it more difficult and, in some cases, preventing the beneficial access to a high quality schooling process, indispensable to the learning process and, consequently, to the human development.
