Abstract

FREITAS, Adelina Helena F. Lima F.. Objectvoice: incidence of the superego in masochism. Cad. psicanal. [online]. 2012, vol.34, n.26, pp. 51-63. ISSN 1413-6295.

In this presentation we will outline some psychoanalytic formulations about pain and existence related to the object, the superego and the masochism. Freud´s theory thematizes the subject always in a frustrated search of the first lost object of the experience of satisfaction, while Lacan sustains that the lack has always exists, in other words, the object has never really existed. That's what he refers as 'object a'. The relation between the superego and the masochism allows us to understand the importance of the 'object a' to the subject, as a voice that commands.

Keywords : Object a; superego; voice; masochism.
