WINOGRAD, Monah. Myths and origins in freudian psychoanalysis. Cad. psicanal. [online]. 2012, vol.34, n.27, pp. 225-243. ISSN 1413-6295.

At various points of his theory, Freud turned to the myths and to mythological references and metaphors to address and explain the originary, filling theoretical gaps that appeared when he was obliged to think beyond what seemed conceptually formalizable. In this text, we discuss the question of the origins and the use of some myths from three axes: (1) the concept of originary and the hypothesis of primary repression, (2) the phylogenetic hypothesis and (3) the scientific myth of the primal horde.

Palavras-chave : Freud; myth; origin; primary repression; phylogeny; primal horde.
