Abstract

PROCHET, Neyza. Of what dreams are made?. Cad. psicanal. [online]. 2013, vol.35, n.28, pp. 11-25. ISSN 1413-6295.

Since Ancient Times until Freud, dreams emerge as an enigma that demands to be deciphered. Post-Freudian authors, in particular Masud Khan and D. W. Winnicott, the psychic value of dreaming activity is beyond the interpretative perspective. Dreaming is a constitutive action, that creates subjectivity and whose value as experience is independent of deciphering the contents of the dream. The discussion is illustrated by comments about Shakespeare´s The tempest and Midsummer's night dream, Rise of the guardians movie and a clinical casework.

Keywords : Child psychoanalysis; dream; dreaming; Masud Khan; D.W. Winnicott.
