Abstract

CELES, Luiz Augusto Monnerat. Revisiting the Freudian method of psychoanalysis: impasses and transformations motivated by Ego. Cad. psicanal. [online]. 2014, vol.36, n.30, pp. 11-29. ISSN 1413-6295.

The aim of this paper is to define changes in the Freudian method that address the primitive or archaic experiences. Based on the transformations in psychoanalytic understanding, and considering the inclusion of self as an object of analysis, we seek to establish the role of constructions as a method of psychoanalysis. They grant autonomy to the analyst who deals with the absence of memories, privileging thus the 'evenly-suspended attention'. A model of formation of ego from paranoia shows the importance of the autoeroticism in the base of ego. The analysis of a Freudian example reveals that constructions explain changes in the object in its relation to the subject, and highlight instinctual destinations; here, attention to autoeroticism becomes critical.

Keywords : Ego; constructions in analysis; early experiences; autoeroticism.
