Abstract

This paper intends to highlight the neologism "extimidade", created by Jacques Lacan, relating it to the concept of das Ding, a highly appreciated expression in psychoanalysis studies, which was extracted by that author from one of Sigmund Freud's first papers. Das Ding, while being the most primitive "êxtimo", works as a referring guide of the subject's movements around his own world of desires.
