Abstract

SAVIETTO, Bianca Bergamo; FIGUEIREDO, Luís Claudio  and  COELHO JUNIOR, Nelson. From Y to X in and through countertransference. Cad. psicanal. [online]. 2014, vol.36, n.31, pp. 33-49. ISSN 1413-6295.

In this article, we assume countertransference as the main tool for understanding the psychical processes and emotional experiences of a now young transsexual patient, who starts a psychoanalytical treatment as an androgynous teenager, with a history of psychiatric internments and of personal involvement in a number of lawsuits. We describe the transference-countertransference field that is being established and subsequently unfolds, by studying the passage from the predominance of projection to the prevalence of projective identification in the patient's treatment.

Keywords : Countertransference; aggression; projection; projective identification.
