The purpose of this article is to study the psychoanalyst's role of meaning-catalyst which is performed in the treatment for narcissistic sufferings. We intend to follow Freud's main observations on the concept of transference, mostly made in the context of treating neurotic subjects. This path will lead to a problematization of many aspects of these questions, considering their relative inadequacy to the treatment for narcissistic sufferings. In this perspective, we will privilege the idea of transference as proposed in "Constructions in analysis", by linking it with Ferenczi's concept of introjections.
