Abstract

CAMARA, Leonardo  and  HERZOG, Regina. Doubt in obsessional neurosis: Freudian readings. Cad. psicanal. [online]. 2015, vol.37, n.32, pp. 159-173. ISSN 1413-6295.

The purpose of this article is to discuss how the experience of doubt emerges in the obsessive configuration. As a way of examining this issue, the field of analysis is restricted to the Freudian discourse in which the establishment of three distinct readings on doubt is proposed: (1) as a compulsive symptom; (2) as an experience articulated to inhibition; (3) as the most important kind of resistance offered by the obsessive subject to the clinical treatment.

Keywords : Doubt; obsessional neurosis; symptom; inhibition; resistance.
