^lpt^len^aBased on the centenary of Freud's work Mourning and melancholia (1917 [1915]/1974), the paper aims to present theoretical and clinical developments on the issue of grief and collective mourning. Relying on the observation that investigations on the subject have increased in complexity over the last century, the paper discloses new contributions that value the interconnections between Freud's psycho-economic model with inter-subjective and trans-subjective perspectives. It also presents a brief account of psychosocial interventions aiming at developing frames for working through collective mourning in the Republic of Serbia.
