LO BIANCO, Anna Carolina  and  NICACIO, Erimaldo. The adolescent and the encounter with the impasses of sex. Cad. psicanal. [online]. 2015, vol.37, n.33, pp. 71-84. ISSN 1413-6295.

This article aims to discuss adolescence from psychoanalysis approach. Adolescence is addressed as a specific way of dealing with the structural requirements that are at play in the constitution of the subject, especially with regard to ethical injunction to take his place on gender identity and object choice. Adolescence appears in the modern world, as a experience of transition to adulthood in which the subject should prepare to occupy a place in the working world. Only from this is that it becomes able to assume their sexuality within marriage. More recently, however, the culture does not ask for more than the repression teen sexual drive, but the urges to exercise it freely. It concludes that the mass hedonism promoted by culture has the effect of avoiding the encounter with the desire and the castration it entails.

Keywords : Adolescence; Psychoanalisis; Sexuality; Culture; Freud; Lacan.
