Abstract

VITORELLO, Daniel Migliani. Man before feminine jouissance: impotence and fetishism as possible incidences. Cad. psicanal. [online]. 2016, vol.38, n.34, pp. 113-128. ISSN 1413-6295.

This paper discusses some aspects about the masculine before the jouissance of the Other and two possible effects, namely, psychic impotence and the constitution of a fetish. As a hypothesis, it has been argued that psychic impotence points to the inability of a male subject to sustain a sexual intercourse without the intermediation of a "veil" and, on the other hand, the fetish as an artifice meant to produce this intermediation.

Keywords : Masculine; Feminine jouissance; Veil; Fetish; Psychic impotence.
