Abstract

This paper proposes to investigate the link between the psychoanalytical concepts of female sexuality and melancholy. As an illustration, we use the film Blue is the warmest color (2014), which tells the story of two women and their love affair. The study approaches from Freudian perspective the preoedipal phase in girls, and how this period can profoundly mark the constitution of the feminine in women.
