Abstract

PEREIRA, Douglas Rodrigo. Elements of the Oedipus complex in drug addiction: the drugs as moving away from of castration in neurosis. Cad. psicanal. [online]. 2016, vol.38, n.35, pp. 113-128. ISSN 1413-6295.

In this article, my objective is to discuss the dimension of castration in drug abuse: the impact of the narcissistic fracture. I situate myself as to the present and the operation of the Oedipus complex; briefly presenting the impact of castration and penis envy in the construction of subjectivity, discussing, through clinical fragments, some points on the effects of castration on drug addiction. I indicate how, by pharmakon operation, the construction of self timeline (LE POULICHET, 1996; 2012) takes place as a way of moving on from the narcissistic fracture imposed by castration.

Keywords : Drug addiction; Castration; Oedipus complex.
