Abstract

BARROS, Maria Theresa da Costa. The human, all too human, face of anxiety in Freud. Cad. psicanal. [online]. 2017, vol.39, n.36, pp. 31-45. ISSN 1413-6295.

This paper aims to demonstrate, through Freudian elaborations about the problem of anxiety, the discontinuity between the Freudian discourse of the primordia of psychoanalysis and his new metapsychology presented in Beyond the pleasure principle (1920), thus revealing the human, all too human, face of anxiety in Freud.

Keywords : Anxiety; Sexual strain; Psychic elaboration; Self; Fear of death.
