Abstract

The article analyzes, from a psychoanalytic perspective, how medicine and psychoanalysis interpret psychic suffering through different references, different thoughts about the subject that impact on his way of dealing with malaise. In this context, the study reflects on the different therapies offered, and suggests two categories of analysis to approach them from the concepts of biological-unbalance-symptom and equilibrist-symptom. It also highlights how the Freudian conception of malaise contributes to imply the subject in the transformation of his singular suffering without false promises.
