Abstract

PEREIRA, Caciana Linhares. The unrepresentable in João Gilberto Noll's Harmada. Cad. psicanal. [online]. 2017, vol.39, n.37, pp. 53-64. ISSN 1413-6295.

The article addresses aspects of Brazilian fiction produced since the 80's, referring specially to Harmada, a novel by João Gilberto Noll. The ensigns of the shake, misplacement, cataclysm and earthquake are related to an object produced by the incidence of the products of science, the advent of technique and the mass massacre: the ruin. This object would have the particularity to show what could not be captured by representation and by sense. The proposition is that Harmada deconstructs, in its form, the imaginary unit of the narrative structure, and in this procedure, makes a correlative emptiness of the subject itself emerge. An emptiness that refers to what, in a work of art, constitutes its real core.

Keywords : Harmada; Psychoanalysis; Art; Representation; Real.
