Abstract

PELLICCIARI, Fabiana Sampaio. The causality of language in Lacan. Cad. psicanal. [online]. 2018, vol.40, n.38, pp. 125-136. ISSN 1413-6295.

The purpose of this text is to show how the structure of language is established from the referent that this same language establishes. For this, Lacan subverts the notion of cause starting from the logical time and the notion of anticipation, precisely by placing the cause in the place of the real that is instituted from the symbolic by a logical impossibility that presents, necessarily, a posteriori. In this way, the delimitation of a field is necessary because of the notion of the act, which is instituted by a necessary precipitation of the analyst's position, without which it would not allow the emergence of the laws of the significant and the logical impasse inherent to it.

Keywords : Cause; Language; Referent; Real; Lacan.
