Abstract

BLOSS, Gerusa Morgana  and  MARSILLAC, Ana Lúcia Mandelli de. Frida Kahlo's diary in question: body and trauma. Cad. psicanal. [online]. 2018, vol.40, n.39, pp. 29-49. ISSN 1413-6295.

The following paper aims at establishing a discussion about body and trauma, based on the diary of Frida Kahlo. Articulating these questions in the psychoanalysis and art fields, we have as objectives: to reflect on the present days and relevance of Frida Kahlo's work; to promote relations concerning the diary's writing as a possibility of resistance; to present interpretations from images that appear in Frida Kahlo's, this important Mexican painter's diary. In this sense, the promoted interlocutions suggest that the diary's writing can mean an important way of reviewing and dealing with the real and the traumatic.

Keywords : Frida Kahlo; Trauma; Body; Psychoanalysis; Art.
