Abstract

BRUM, Stephanie Soares. The positivity of a life in fragments. Cad. psicanal. [online]. 2018, vol.40, n.39, pp. 125-144. ISSN 1413-6295.

Grounded on Ferenczi's trauma theory we will work from three starting points: 1) the idea of a development that occurs as a result of an adaptive movement due to the incidence of catastrophes; 2) then we will study Ferenczi's theory of the destructive trauma, where we will look how fragmentation occurs due to a traumatic event; 3) finally we will look this author's considerations about a fragmented life. Our main goal is based on trying to present the fragmented existence as a form of psychic organization - distinct form neurosis - also endowed with positivity.

Keywords : Trauma; Fragmentation; Ferenczi; Catastrophe.
