Abstract

LANG, Charles Elias  and  ANDRADE, Hudson Vieira de. Formalization and psychoanalytic clinic: the structure, the signifier and the subject. Cad. psicanal. [online]. 2019, vol.41, n.40, pp. 99-119. ISSN 1413-6295.

This article aims at exploring the model of formalization in psychoanalytic clinic, which is present in Lacanian theory, through the concepts of structure, signifier and subject. Just as any language has its syntax, the signifying chain presupposes a structure that establishes its system of rules. Through the signifying chain, a certain knowledge is produced, allowing the assumption that there was an emergence of the subject. Our purpose is to elaborate on the concepts of structure, signifier and subject in an undissociated way, with the aim of clarifying the model of formalization in psychoanalytic clinic that was proposed by Jacques Lacan.

Keywords : Psychoanalysis; Lacan; Structure; Signifier; Subject.
