Abstract

OLIVEIRA, Deivison Marques de  and  OLIVEIRA JUNIOR, Ari Alves de. Hallucinations: illness index or stabilizing factor?. Cad. psicanal. [online]. 2019, vol.41, n.41, pp. 207-226. ISSN 1413-6295.

It is a case study of a patient attended at a health service in the city of São Paulo (SP). Considering that the psychoanalytic theoretical framework guided the clinical practice of the process, the psychosis was approached in terms of a clinical structure of language, contrary to the notion of psychic functions' deficit. Beginning from Freud and Lacan, and their contributions in the study of psychoses, an understanding of which situations, contexts and intrapsychic elements were associated with the production of psychotic phenomena was sought, as well as their effects and their function in relation to the subject, particularly with regard to hallucination. From the clinical case fragment, it was concluded that the hallucination fosters production of a singular discourse, with its own logic generated from the enigmatic experience of psychosis, and capable of leading the subject to stabilization.

Keywords : Hallucination; Psychoanalysis; Lacan; Jacques-Marie Émile; Psychosis.
