Abstract

This article aims to share an experience in the frontline action at the Military Firemen hospital, in Rio de Janeiro, in times of COVID-19 pandemic, and using some psychoanalytical concepts as reading keys. Both psychoanalytic theory and technique, along with guidelines for mental health and psychosocial care in emergency situations were used as background for the implementation of attention mechanisms that exist, mainly, to help maintaining the dignity and recovering the subjectivity, related to the individuals death closeness moments.
