Abstract

BITTAR, Daina Edith Paegle; RIBEIRO, Marina Ferreira da Rosa  and  SILVA, Marina Abud da. The risks in the process of mother and daughter differentiation: an analysis of the film The Black Swan. Cad. psicanal. [online]. 2020, vol.42, n.43, pp. 173-188. ISSN 1413-6295.

The article approaches some psychological aspects of when the differentiation process between mother and daughter is insufficient. In that pair the similarity seems to contribute to a very specific identificatory confusion, so that the study of the formation of femininity in women requires thinking of the complexity of the bond, and its possible narcissistic traps. To do so, reflections were made about the phenomena of the double (FREUD, 1919/1969), to which concepts of Eric Bidaud (1998), Halberstadt-Freud (2001) and Marina F. R. Ribeiro (2009, 2011) were articulated. Making use of the concepts presented, the film Black Swan was analyzed.

Keywords : Mother and daughter relationship; Differentiation; Double; Black Swan; Narcissism.
