Abstract

VARGAS, Fábio Moreira. Freud and the autonomy: an interpretation. Cad. psicanal. [online]. 2020, vol.42, n.43, pp. 189-205. ISSN 1413-6295.

This paper tries to think the notion of autonomy through Freudian metapsychology. We will build the possibility of an autonomous subject by the circuits of drives itself. To complete this purpose, it will be necessary that we reconstruct some elements of subjectivity formation by Freudian psychoanalysis. Freud would have subverted the classical notion of autonomy and, in that way, he would have offered new possibilities to think about man's autonomy. For this purpose, we will start from some brief indications by Theodor Adorno.

Keywords : Freud and the autonomy; Metapsychology; Circuits of drives.
