Abstract

ROSA, Miriam Izolina Padoin Dalla  and  ROCHA, Geovane dos Santos da. Psychoanalytic study on Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD) in childhood. Cad. psicanal. [online]. 2020, vol.42, n.43, pp. 249-264. ISSN 1413-6295.

The high incidence of Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD) in childhood makes this psychopathology one of the typical ones of the 21st century. In order to call into question the specificities of its diagnosis, a comparative study was conducted between two cases of children initially diagnosed with ADHD. This study leads to the assertion that that psychopathology is composed of a series of symptoms that may be considered manifestations of the unconscious in psychomotricity. Therefore, it has been pointed out that ADHD is a subjective response of the child to the obstacles in his/her psychic constitution; and these being expressed through psychomotor agitation and psycho-affective difficulties in relationships with others.

Keywords : ADHD; Comparative Study; Psychomotricity.
