Abstract

The present paper proposes to think about the movie picture Little Tickles (2018), by Andréa Bescond and Éric Métayer, through the possibilities of psychic elaboration that both art and analytical listening are able to provide. The starting point will be Freud's (1920/2010) famous text, Beyond the pleasure principle, in his intrapsychic notion of trauma as a drive excess. Some contributions by Ferenczi (1933-1934/1992) and contemporary authors such as Anne Alvarez (1994) and Daniel Kupermann (2017) will also be highlighted, making a connection with the social sphere when reflecting on the effects of the testimony and the presence of the other for the authorization of a psychic survival.
