This article intends to consider results of contemporary social changes on poor younger by findings of research on young families who live in a favela at Sao Paulo city. It is introduced Jessica’s family case, whose earlier pregnancy is connected to a context characterized by sadness. The favela is located in a rich area. It makes possible to investigate how poor younger personality is affected for being approached social modern values and luxury consumer goods. Trajectories on market labor, consumer, leisure and so forth are grasped by deep interviews. Jessica’s family trajectory study makes possible to examine important new social phenomena: changing on social representations by time because infinity offers, seduction to immediate satisfactions, new cultural model development what postpones young process to became adult. All these phenomena are related to a social context that put difficulties to young reach independence. Findings show that in favela difficulties to poor young reach independence can intensify families’ vulnerability conditions.
